 My name is Jennifer Markiewicz; I am a happy wife, loving mother and North Linden resident. Making my dreams come true while helping serve my community. I am the proud owner of Barkin Dogs and Waggin Tails Pet Salon, also doing business as, Proper Pups Dog Training. My whole life I knew I was supposed to be working with animals, after High School I went to Vet Tech school where I graduated in 2009. Shortly after I graduated from Vet Tech school I completed my dog grooming training and have been practicing as a groomer ever since! While working as a groomer I became very interested in dog training. I went to school and became a certified dog trainer in 2018. I love grooming and training all for different reasons but grooming is my true passion in life. I love that I get to help maintain a dogs health and quality of life while also making them look cute!!! I get to use my wide range of knowledge from animal medicine, and training to help in the grooming process. Using this knowledge makes it more comfortable for the dog and the owner!! I love all dogs and cats and I am so excited to pamper them all!!

 My name is Paige, I am a devoted cat mom of 3 fat cats, who probably have more say in my life than I do, and have been happily married since 2021! Growing up we always had dogs which led me to my first job working with dogs. I knew I had found my passion in the animal world and started looking for ways to expand my knowledge and find a way to ensure I could stay working with dogs. In 2018 I started working as a dog trainer and learning from other dog trainers. My favorite thing about working with dogs is how every dog is different, has different needs, different personalities, has different likes and dislikes, and overall there’s no two dogs the same. I love to constantly learn new things to better help dogs and their humans, so while dog training is my number one passion I‘ll take just about any dog time I can get! As of now, outside of training, I stick to the basic grooming needs like bathing and nail trims. Who knows, maybe one day I will decide to pick up a pair of shears and learn how to cut hair, that is what is so exciting about working with dogs! I cannot wait to meet yours! 

  Hello my name is Brandy Sarver; I am a professional dog groomer with over 22 years of experience, and a lifelong passion for working with animals. I began my grooming journey at Northwest Career Center during high school in 2004-2006, where I studied animal management, vet tech, grooming, and training. And I've been grooming ever since! Caring for animals has always been at the heart of who I am, and I take pride in helping pets feel happy, healthy, and comfortable. Using my professional knowledge and gentle approach, my goal is to ensure every dog leaves their grooming experience feeling fresh!, relaxed and loved! I am a creative groomer who enjoys bringing smiles to both pets and their owners through my work. At home, I share my life with beloved cats and dogs and an amazing loving family of five who all share my love for animals. I value love, peace, and happiness, and I strive to grow and improve every day—both personally and professionally.

  My name is Mr Binx! I am the temporary receptionist at Barkin Dogs & Waggin Tails Pet Salon! You may see me hangin around or twining around your feet! My hobbies include: taunting my dog Scoobert, attempting to trip people because I love rubbing against legs and I really LOVE grabbing hold of peoples feet when they try and walk away from me, I mean who do they think they are!?

I don't have my front claws but you better pretend it hurts when I try and smack you, my regal prowess will be offended if you act otherwise! Don't worry if you see me hanging out, looking out the front door, I just really love the sunshine & will probably run away when you come inside!
